Eastern
Shore Choral Society (ESCS) is a non-profit 501(c)3, 50+ member all-volunteer SATB chorus organization under the direction
of Mary Katherine Kilgore with Joe Rambo as accompanist, and dedicated to (1) presenting programs of high quality vocal music
for public entertainment and personal enrichment; (2) promoting greater appreciation and enjoyment of good music, both
classical and modern, by the citizens in and around Baldwin County; (3) joining with other such organizations to provide programs
of educational or cultural benefit for the citizens in and around Baldwin County; (4) assisting Baldwin County, AL high school
age singers with scholarships for lessons or summer music camps; and (5) supporting middle and high school choral programs
in Baldwin County Schools with financial contributions.
We support
choral arts programs through contributions to Baldwin County middle and high school choral programs, scholarship competitions
for high school age voice students, and the waiver of membership fees for voice students of high school and college age.
We feel that the music we offer the community is extremely important and needed, particularly during difficult times such
as these.
We rely heavily on the generosity of our patrons to help underwrite
the cost of music
and hire high-quality instrumentalists, the director
and accompanist we employ, and performance halls. A portion
of all donations funds our scholarships for young vocalists and our financial contributions to Baldwin County school choral
programs. We are grateful to so many for your financial support of our past endeavors and ask for your continued generosity
in this challenging time.
